The Kronenhalle Bar was designed in 1965 by Zurich architect Robert Haussmann as a total work of art. The bar impresses with its upholstery covered in green Saffiano leather and a mahogany ceiling finished in a boat-building style. The lighting fixtures on the bar counter were designed by Diego Giacometti and are just as much works of art as the paintings on the walls. The legendary parquet flooring from the London County Hall also shows that the Kronenhalle has always prioritized stylish high quality.
But what makes the Kronenhalle Bar just as special as its unique interior is its long-standing staff: The bartenders serve drinks of first-class quality with passion and always treat their guests with charming aplomb. First and foremost, bar manager Christian Heiss, who keeps a book of his guests’ favorite recipes and special requests.
